Just a Little Thank You

Blogger in their wisdom have decided to put Feedburner in maintenance mode on 1 July. This has caused me (and thousands of other bloggers) a huge headache. In a nutshell, it means that we are losing blog readers who follow us by email.

After extensive research, I decided that Follow.it is the best solution to the problem. Lots of work go into the back end of a blog or website to make it work, and as a result, moving my mailing list was not quick or easy. Just when I wanted to cover my face with my hands and cry, the helpfull support staff at Follow.it stepped in and helped me over the last few hurdles. Thanks to them, you will continue receiving your blog emails without an interruption.

If there are any other bloggers out there still wondering what to do, I can recommend Follow.it.

Secondly, I want to say thank you to all my readers... so many followers by email... never mind all the other ways in which people keep track of this blog. I'm humbled and honoured.

  1. Thank YOU for taking the time and effort to find a solution for those who follow you by e-mail. ;O)

  2. Cada vez lo ponen todo más dificil, parece que por desgracia, quieran acabar con los blogs.
    Por suerte lo has solucionado.

  3. So glad you found a good solution. I always love visiting here!

  4. Ah.... I've been putting off making a decision about what to use for my blog following the demise of feedburner. Thanks for the heads up.... I'll look into follow.it!

  5. Hi Megan, are you still making the Del Prado house?

    1. Hello Tegan, yes I am! Real life is taking up a lot of my time these days and I've not made any more progress on the shell of the house. However, I have been building the odd piece of furniture from the kits.
In the kitchen, I found that one open dresser with shelves is completely out of scale to the other furniture and it overwhelms the room, so I've chucked it out. In its place, I'm going to build a fridge to make the kitchen more modern. I've already made a mock-up with card stock and I like the new layout.
From the beginning, I felt that a conservatory addition on the kitchen side was a must. I've made the foundation for that from wood and I'm dreaming about ways to make stained glass windows.
      What are you building?

  6. Thank you Megan for keeping us in touch with your blog. I am in the hands over my eyes blubbing stage, defeated by the whole thing. As always with blogger their helpful instructions stall at the first step ... go to 'Analyze' If you can find that you are a better girl than I Gungadin. meanwhile if you want to find me. I have finished with Dalton House and am off on a new challenge https://mini-epilogue.blogspot.com/

  7. Hi Marilyn, I'm sorry that you are having a problem with Google and the dreaded demise of Feedburner. They certainly don't make it easy for those of us who don't speak Computer fluently. It seems that every time I turn my back for a few moments, Blogger changes its layout and I spend an hour searching for the button that was just there a few days ago. I hope you manage to sort it out soon.
As for your new adventure, I'm already following your new blog on Bloglovin and I'm excited for your room boxes. It's something I've never ventured into but I'm heading over to give my two pennies' worth of advice, ha ha!
