In the interest of a healthier lifestyle, I promised to stop stuffing myself with cake in the New Year. But the craving lingers... Last weekend I made a batch of polymer clay cupcakes.
They are approximately 1cm (3/8 inch) tall, and iced in colours of violet and rose. I put them on pins so that you can stick them in your pin cushion to enjoy. Yummy to look at and calorie free!
I have put more pictures on my website, and a link to order if you need a few.
The cupcake pin cushion in this photo is made of felt. The pattern is available on my website, and in my Etsy Store.
You are so talented. I just love them
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol! These were so much fun to make, and they are flying off to new homes all over the place. I might have to bake a new batch soon.
DeleteOh, they look gorgeous, Megan, and.........yummy ;O!
ReplyDeleteLove the pin cushion made of felt too.
Hugs, Ilona
Thanks Ilona. I'm enjoying regularly reading your blog and seeing what you make too!
DeleteYour little polymer clay cup cakes are wonderful. They would look very pretty on a pin cushion. Your fingers are always busy.

Thanks Kay. I do so enjoy making them. This week I'm making some teensy clay dolls. Will post pictures as soon as I manage one that doesn't look like Bride of Frankenstein!
DeleteMegan, love the cup cakes! As for the dolls, just don't try to get every detail in. People think that there are details where they aren't. I do 1/4" scale people that are between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2" tall. Eyes, nose and a mouth are just kind of suggested. The eye puts in the rest of the details. Good luck! It takes practice.
ReplyDeleteThe cupcake pins are so pretty! I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by and commenting on my last post, I really appreciate it!
