Today we saw a very slight improvement in Dino's condition. He ate a little bit and was awake for short periods. We are on a regime of oral antibiotics and monitoring his vital statistics.
The vigil continues, we are not out of the woods.
There is still a lot of swelling over Dino's head and especially around his eyes, but it is looking much better.

Yes, definite visible improvement. Dino is breathing easier today, ate a little this morning, and since we can't walk him we are massaging his limbs. We are also rubbing the swollen parts. I was scared that it might hurt Dino but the vet says it's actually very itchy!

ReplyDeleteThanks Kay. I'm sure Dino would lap up the attention. This week already he has received several boxes of dog treats from various well wishers, and yesterday a friend's two little children delivered get-well cards for Dino. I'm becoming jealous!
