This has been a cleaning week.  The men came home from their trip to our bordering countries, and brought about half of Africa back with them.  I’ve been shaking sand out of sleeping bags and cleaning monkey poo off ground sheets for days, and the place still looks like a Bedouin camp. On the up side, they did not eat nearly all the muesli bars and other non persishable food that I made for them to take along on their adventure.  Whenever someone rubs their tummy and gives me a pleading look, I just point at the crates standing in the kitchen.
I’ve also worked with polymer clay a bit this week, and completed an order for dollshouse mouse teapots. These are 1/12 scale, about ¾ inch tall.  There were some extras;  I’ve turned them into pins. I love having a few little pretties in my pin cushion along with all the ‘working’ needles and pins.

I did not get around to finishing a tutorial for Project 52 this week.  Apologies to those who are eagerly waiting.  I will be back on my post early next week!

Those of us who are South African can look forward next week to the third week in a row with a public holiday!  Wednesday is voting day for national elections.  As soon as I get back from the voting station, I will sit down and make creative use of the day.  I hope that you will be able to do the same.

  2. It is always the way when we can't start to work right after breakfast. Some times it is hard to start.
I'm glad your family are all home safely and I must say I love your mouse tea pots.
